Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar said that the dates of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 should be adjusted so as not to clash with the elections.
A meeting regarding the affairs of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was held under the chairmanship of the Caretaker Prime Minister, in which Chairman PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf and other officials of the Cricket Board participated.
Speaking during the meeting, the caretaker prime minister said that the game of cricket plays an important role in uniting the entire nation, thanks to teamwork, the team can unite and achieve success in every field.
The Caretaker Prime Minister said that while appointing trainers, support staff and officials in PCB, the country’s interest and dignity should be taken care of.
Anwar Haq Kakar said that the players should be given the best training along with good coaching. Cricket needs to be promoted even in remote areas of the country.
The caretaker prime minister also said that the PSL dates should be adjusted so that there is no conflict with the elections.
He added that to work together for the successful conduct of the 2025 Champions Trophy, the PCB should work with all stakeholders and security agencies for the event.
In this regard, PCB says that the caretaker prime minister has expressed confidence in the actions of the cricket board.
The Cricket Board said that they have also assured government support for organizing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9.
