149 runs for Prime Minister XI at the end of the second day

Prime Minister XI scored 149 runs for the loss of 2 wickets at the end of the second day of the 4-day match against Pakistan.

Prime Minister XI need 242 more runs to cover Pakistan’s first innings deficit.

On behalf of Prime Minister XI, Cameron Bancroft scored 53 runs and Marcus Harris scored 49 runs while Matthew Renshaw 18 and Cameron Green remained not out on 19 runs.

Pakistan’s first innings

Pakistan declared the first innings on 391 runs in the 4-day match against Prime Minister XI.

Shan Masood, captain of the national test team, scored a magnificent double century, he remained not out on 201 runs.

Shaun Masood won the toss and elected to bat first at Canberra’s Manuka Oval ground.

Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq started the innings on behalf of Pakistan, Imam was caught out after scoring 9 runs while Abdullah Shafiq was out after scoring 38 runs.

Former captain Babar Azam scored 40, Saud Shakeel scored 13, Sarfraz Ahmed scored 41 and Faheem Ashraf scored 17 runs.

Aamir Jamal 5, Mir Hamza, 8 and Khurram Shahzad got out by scoring 6 runs.

For Prime Minister XI, Jordan Buckingham took 5 wickets while Todd Murphy, Nathan McAndrew and Mark Stekety took one wicket each.
