Housemaid Shabnam has been working in the house of a man named Nauman for the last 11 years
Lahore: The landlady set the maid on fire by sprinkling petrol, after which the police arrested the house owner.
In North Kent police station limits, the landlady doused the housemaid with petrol and set her on fire, leaving 40-year-old housekeeper Shabnam with 70 per cent burns.
Housemaid Shabnam has been working in the house of a man named Nauman for the last 11 years. Nauman’s wife Shazia, in a grudge for asking for hot water, then sprinkled petrol on the maid Shabnam and set her on fire. The victim, the housekeeper, has been taken to Mayo Hospital, where she is in critical condition.
The family of the victim maid filed a case registration case against the landlady Shazia in the North Cantt police station, on which the police registered a case and arrested the house owner Nauman.
According to the police, the victim is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The wounds on the woman’s body are caused by hot water. There was no evidence of burning with petrol. Further investigation is going on with the arrested accused Numan.
