The second semi-final match played between South Africa and Australia in the World Cup was stopped due to rain.

Before the rain started, South Africa had scored 44 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 14 overs.

In the second semi-final of the World Cup, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first against Australia.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock opened the innings but Australia took the wicket of the South African captain for one run in the first over.

Temba Bavuma was caught for no runs by Mitchell Starc.

South Africa’s second wicket fell for 8 runs in 5.4 overs when Quinton de Kock was caught out for 3 runs.

South Africa’s third wicket fell for 22 runs in 10.5 overs when Aiden Markram was caught out for 10 runs.

Before that The South African captain speaking after the toss “I am not 100 percent fit but able to play,” Temba Bavuma said, making one change to the team for today’s match.

After that, Australian captain Pete Cummins said that there have been 2 changes in the team and if we had won the toss, we would have batted first.

This match between the two teams is being played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
