The Pakistan Cricket Team squad for the World Cup has been announced.

Babar Azam will captain the Pakistan cricket team in the World Cup while Shadab Khan will be the vice-captain.

Fast bowler Naseem Shah was not made a part of the national squad due to injury.

Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhr Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rizwan, Wasim Jr., Hasan Ali, Saud Shakeel, Salman in the Pakistan Cricket Team squad for the World Cup. Agha and Osama Mir have been added.

Mohammad Haris, Abrar Ahmed and Zaman Khan have been kept as reserve players in the squad.

Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq while announcing the 18-member squad in a press conference said that Hasan Ali has been included in the squad based on experience, big events require an experienced bowler.

Inzamam-ul-Haq said that Naseem Shah’s absence from the team is a loss for us but is hopeful that he will return to the team soon.

He said that there is more pressure on us compared to other teams in India, so there is also a problem of handling pressure, considering the same things Hasan Ali has been included.

Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the World Cup is the most important event in the life of any cricketer. I would like to congratulate all the cricketers who have been part of the squad due to their impressive performance.

Inzamam-ul-Haq said that this team has performed very well in the last few years and that is why we have shown our faith in these players.

Inzamam-ul-Haq said that this is the time to encourage the team and boost its courage, which the team needs.

It should be noted that the ICC Cricket World Cup will start from October 5 in India.

Pakistan cricket team will play their first warm-up match against New Zealand in Hyderabad Deccan on September 29.
