Peshawar: Jamaat-e-Islami staged a dharna outside Governor House Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against the increase in prices of electricity and petroleum products and inflation.
Jamaat-e-Islami decided to speed up the anti-inflation movement under which the workers staged a dharna in front of the Governor House Peshawar for three days and blocked the museum by putting a container in front of it.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq camped in Peshawar for three days.
Spokesperson says that our protest movement is peaceful and arson is not the aim, the government has to withdraw the cruel increase in prices. Jamaat-e-Islami will also go to the Supreme Court against the cruel increase in electricity and petrol prices.
It should be noted that on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, dharnas will be allowed in Lahore on September 21 and in Quetta on September 24, while in Karachi on October 6 in front of the Governor House.
