Former Sri Lankan cricket team fast bowler Lasith Malinga was disappointed after his team’s crushing defeat in the Asia Cup 2023 final.
In his statement on social media, Malinga said that what could have been a very exciting final turned out to be a very disappointing end for the Sri Lankan fans.
Lasith Malinga while congratulating the Indian cricket team said that congratulations to the Indian team for winning the Asia Cup for the eighth time. The Indian team is one of the favorite teams of the World Cup and they proved it with their performances.
The former fast bowler added that Sri Lanka had emerged as a strong team throughout the tournament, but in the final today they failed completely.
Lasith Malinga said that we are still unable to control the situation and play according to it, but I am sure that if we play with complete planning, we can succeed in the World Cup.
It should be noted that in the final match of the Asia Cup, the Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and became the Asian champion for the eighth time.
