A contingent of 248 athletes will represent Pakistan in the Asian Games, which will begin on September 23 in China.
Regarding the event, President of Pakistan Olympics Association Arif Hassan gave a briefing to the media.
Pakistan Olympics Association President Arif Hasan says that Pakistan will participate in 24 sports in the event, 137 male and 53 female athletes and other team officials will go along. 164 players are being borne by the Pakistan Sports Board and there are 98 players who will participate in the games at the federation’s expense.
Arif Hasan further said that the same players are going to hockey, whose names have already gone, now it is not possible to change these names.
He said that three players including Arshad Nadeem have qualified for the Paris Olympics, it is hoped that more players will also qualify for the Paris Olympics by performing well in the games.
