Islamabad: The Official Secrets Act Court has extended the judicial remand of Chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case till September 26.
Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the cipher case in Attock Jail. Earlier, 9 lawyers of Chairman PTI Imran’s legal team were allowed to go to Attock Jail while the FIA team also reached Attock Jail to investigate the cipher case.
On the occasion of the hearing, PTI leader and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was handcuffed and taken to the Special Official Secrets Act court.

On reaching the court, the staff informed Shah Mehmood Qureshi that the judge had gone to the jail for the hearing. We ask the judge, if he gives permission, we will send you back with attendance. Shah Mehmood Qureshi inquired what is happening in the jail today? What happened to my bail case?, on which the court staff said that the case of chairman PTI is being heard in the jail today. The hearing on your bail application is tomorrow.
Later, Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of the Official Secret Act Special Court extended the judicial remand of Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi till September 26.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to the media while leaving the judicial complex said that I cannot even think of betraying the country. There is a gallows next to my barracks in the prison. If I have betrayed the country, I should be hanged. The chairman of PTI is PTI, there are no two opinions.
