Australian cricket team all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the T20 series against South Africa.
In this regard, Cricket Australia says that Glenn Maxwell has suffered a left ankle injury due to which he had to return home from South Africa early.
According to media reports, Matthew Wade has been included in the T20 squad, while Glenn Maxwell is expected to be fit for the World Cup.
Glenn Maxwell was already out of the ODI squad against South Africa due to family commitments.
Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Cameron Green and David Warner are already out of the squad for the T20 series against South Africa.
It should be noted that the first T20 match between South Africa and Australia will be played in Durban on August 30.
