Saudi Arabia, while welcoming the invitation to join BRICS, has said that it will decide to join the group after reviewing the details of joining BRICS.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan says that he appreciates the invitation to join BRICS, the world’s emerging economies.
He said that BRICS is a beneficial and important channel for strengthening economic cooperation, will review the details of joining BRICS and take an appropriate decision on joining before January 1.
BRICS group today invited 6 new countries Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Egypt, Argentina and Ethiopia to join the group.
The accession of the new countries will take effect from January 1, 2024. BRICS is an organization consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
