The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs 5 40 paise per unit.
A hearing was held in Nepra on the fourth quarter adjustment of the financial year 2022-23.
Nepra has given approval for the fourth quarter adjustment of the year 2022-23.
Nepra will issue a detailed decision later, the final decision and notification will be made by the federal government.
The cost of electricity will not be applicable to Lifeline electric customers.
Nepra’s statement said that the price increase will not be applicable to Lifeline customers and K-electric customers across the country.
