Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawyer and Senator Ali Zafar has said that it would have been better if the President had written reasons and rejected the bill.
Talking to Geo News program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada on the dispute over the Official Secrets Act law, he said that if the President does not sign the bill, it will be considered that the bill has been sent back.
Senator Ali Zafar added that it is also being discussed why the President tweeted twenty-four hours after the date of withdrawal of the bill, but if he had not tweeted, we would not have known that it was not made into law.
Former Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that if the President did not withdraw the law, it means that the law has become law.
He said that if the President is given the power to retain the bill for an indefinite period, then the sovereignty of the Parliament will end.
