The government has taken important steps to prevent and respond quickly to cyber security attacks.
Federal Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haq has said that the Cabinet has approved the Computer Emergency Teams Rules 2023.
He further said that the Ministry of IT has started preparation of rules under PECA and National Cyber Security Policy 2021, consultation with stakeholders and concerned institutions for Cert Rules 2023.
The federal minister also said that cyber security related facilities can be provided in government institutions and departments under the rules.
He said that modern risk management process will be facilitated to protect against cyber attack, cert teams will be formed at the federal, provincial and sectoral levels under the rules.
Aminul Haque said that a Cert Council will be established for the effective operation of all Computer Emergency Response Teams.
