Lahore: After the May 9 tragedy, a report was prepared regarding the number of women arrested from Punjab for their involvement in the incident.
After the report, 63 women have been arrested from 8 different cities including the provincial capital Lahore. The Punjab Police has sent a report to the Chief Minister, which states that 21 women were detained on suspicion of involvement in the May 9 incidents.
According to the police report, maximum 47 women were arrested from Lahore. 22 women were judicially charged after the investigation was completed, out of which 21 women were arrested from Lahore and one woman was judicially arrested from Rawalpindi.
59 women arrested from 8 cities were released on bail. 31 of Lahore, 11 women of Rawalpindi were released on bail, while 8 women of Faisalabad and 4 women of Multan were released on bail.
