The case against the trial of civilians has been set for hearing in the military courts

Islamabad: The case against the trial of civilians in military courts has been fixed by the Supreme Court for hearing.

A 6-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hear the case against the trial of civilians in military courts on July 18.

It should be noted that the nominated Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa had refrained from hearing cases under Clause 3 of Article 184 till the decision on the Practice and Procedure Act case and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood also supported this position of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had left the bench after the objection of the federal government.

Four petitioners, including former Chief Justice Jawad S Khawaja and Aitzaz Ahsan, approached the Supreme Court against the trial of civilians in military courts.
