New Delhi: In the Indian state of Jharkhand, a 16-year-old student of class 10 was slapped by her teacher, on which the student committed suicide.
According to the international news agency, 16-year-old student Usha Kumari committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan in her room. The parents of the girl blamed the teacher and principal of the school for the death of their daughter.
In the statement given to the police, the girl’s parents said that Usha scolded Kumari for coming with a bandage on her forehead and the teacher also slapped her, which Usha tolerated.
The parents said in the statement that the girl was upset and crying since she came home from school. Locked himself in the room. We think she has fallen asleep. Knocked at the door for food but he didn’t open it.
The parents further said that when they broke the door and entered the room, the body of our daughter was hanging from the fan. The girl also wrote a note before committing suicide in which the principal and teacher were blamed for the suicide.
Police sent the body for post-mortem while the principal and the slapping teacher were also arrested.
