Srinagar: India’s claim to be a so-called secular state was once again exposed when the occupying army on the orders of the Modi government forcibly stopped the performance of Eid prayers in a historic mosque in Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, in Occupied Kashmir, where the Indian army has already taken away basic human rights and now religious freedom is being restricted, the latest example of which is preventing Muslims from offering Eid prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

The pro-Indian puppet administration of Occupied Kashmir locked the main gate of the Jama Masjid late at night, while the mosque administration had made complete preparations for the early morning Eid prayers.

The occupying Indian army did not stop there but also did not allow prayers to be offered in Srinagar and other Eidgahs of Islamabad district on the pretext of not taking permission, even though Eid prayers have been being offered at these places for years.

In order to prevent any possible protest, the cowardly Modi government has deployed the force in Occupied Kashmir to deprive the people of their fundamental right to protest.

In order to stop the protest of Kashmiris against Indian brutality, heavy contingents of Indian forces are deployed in many areas and people are not being allowed to leave their homes.
