Pakistan Cricket Board Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi has met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to the sources, the Prime Minister has expressed full confidence in Najam Sethi and nominated him as the candidate for Chairman PCB.
The Prime Minister has also directed Najam Sethi to complete the elections of PCB Chairman soon.
In this regard, sources say that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will send 2 names to the PCB Board of Governors, in which the second name is likely to be Mustafa Ramde.
Najam Sethi gave a briefing to the Prime Minister about the Asia Cup and the World Cup in India and sources say that Najam Sethi has asked Shehbaz Sharif for his opinion regarding the Asia Cup and the World Cup.
In the briefing, he said that the 2014 constitution of PCB has been completely restored, the election of PCB districts has been completed in more than 90 percent of the districts.
In the briefing, the Prime Minister was informed that 80% of the elections of the regions have been completed, the regional inter-district under-19 cricket tournament is starting from June 15, the one-year cricket calendar has been completed which will be announced soon.
The Prime Minister was informed that all the departments have started forming their cricket teams.
The Prime Minister also congratulated Najam Sethi on the restoration of PCB constitution.
