Order to register cases for taking forced labor from children anywhere, including homes

Lahore: The High Court has ordered to register cases of forced labor from children anywhere, including homes.

Justice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu of Lahore High Court heard the petition filed by Muhammad Iqbal for the recovery of the minor child who was kept working at home. An order was issued to register cases against such people.

The court ordered that cases be registered against those who make children work at home and employ them. The Child Protection Bureau should take action against those who take forced labor from children. The police authorities should also fully cooperate with the concerned departments to prevent forced labor of children.

The court also ordered to register cases against the parents who forced children to work. The judge remarked that there is a tendency in the society to employ young children and take advances.

It should be noted that in the case under hearing also the petitioner had put his son to work. The court was approached to take back the child.
