Decision to impose fee on animals brought to market in Lahore

The Metropolitan Corporation Administration in Lahore has decided to levy a fee per animal on the animals brought in the market of the city.

According to Express News, the issue of placing cattle in the market on Eid-ul-Adha has gone sour, the Punjab government has refused to give one and a half billion rupees to the Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore.

After the refusal of the Punjab government, now the Metropolitan Corporation will set up the market itself without profit or loss, on which the Metro Corporation Lahore has decided to impose a fee per animal on the sacrificial animals for bringing animals to the market.

Thirteen cattle markets are to be installed in Lahore city, 35 to 40 thousand small and 20 thousand big animals come in the cattle market, the Metropolitan Corporation has decided to impose a fee of Rs 500 on a small animal and Rs 1000 on a large animal.
