India: 5 more people have been killed in communal riots in Manipur, taking the death toll in the state to 80.

The report said that the bloody ethnic riots that started on May 3 in the towns and villages of India’s northeastern state of Manipur are continuing. Seven more people have died due to the brutality of the Modi government in two weeks.

According to the report, most of the dead are from the Christian community. Curfew is in force in various areas of Manipur while the shutdown of internet and mobile services has been extended till May 31.

Apart from this, the police have also been empowered to shoot rioters on sight.

It should be noted that tensions are at a peak after the outbreak of ethnic violence in Manipur this month, in which dozens of people have been killed and thousands displaced.
