According to Russian media, American reporter Ivan Grishkovich will be detained until August 30.
Russian media say the American reporter was arrested in Moscow in March on espionage charges.
The United States has demanded the immediate release of Ivan Grishkovich.
In this regard, White House National Security spokesman John Kirby said that Ivan Grishkovich’s detention should not be extended and the American newspaper reporter should be released immediately.
John Kirby added that the US wants consular access to Ivan Grishkovich.
