SpaceX’s historic space mission has taken off with 4 astronauts, including a male and female Saudi astronaut, to the International Space Station.
According to Arab media, these 4 astronauts include 2 women and 2 men.
Reana Barnawi, a breast cancer researcher from Saudi Arabia, has embarked on a space mission with her Saudi partner, Ali Al-Qarni, who is a fighter pilot.
Apart from them, Peggy Whitson and John Shoffner have also left for this space mission.
Peggy Whitson is a former NASA astronaut on her fourth flight to the International Space Center.
John Shoffner from Tennessee is a businessman who serves as a pilot.
The mission took off from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral at 5:37 p.m. US time aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.
According to Arab media, these four astronauts will work on 20 research projects during their 8-day stay at the International Space Station.
