Peshawar: In Peshawar Model College, students ransacked the school due to alleged blasphemy by a female teacher.
According to Express News, the students of Peshawar Model College in Jameel Chowk, Ring Road, protested strongly over the alleged insolence of a female teacher during a lesson from a book on Islam. Agitated students also broke the main gate of the college, boards, car windows and glass windows of classes.
On receiving the information, local people and parents also reached the school where a heavy police force was deployed. The students also set fire in front of the school, protesting which led to worst traffic jams on the Ring Road and adjoining roads.
After the incident, the school administration disappeared and the police started efforts to control the situation.
