Brazzaville: In Congo’s southern province of Kivu, torrential rains caused rivers to boil and hundreds of people were swept away in Riele, killing 401 and injuring around 200.
According to the international news agency, in the continuous rains in Congo for 4 days, the water of the rivers entered the residential area in the form of a dangerous flood relay.
The flood relay flattened everything in its path. More than 500 people were swept away by the fast flowing water.
The death toll in Rilai due to landslides, landslides and other incidents has crossed 400, while around 200 are injured.
More than 100 people are still missing. Dead bodies are being found during rescue operations.
