Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly and leader of PPP Raja Pervez Ashraf has given the indication to write a letter to the chief justice and other judges on the concerns of the members.
In the meeting of the National Assembly, Raja Parvez Ashraf said that the country is suffering from a state of agitation, I will convey the feelings and emotions of the members to the judges of the Supreme Court.
He said that to reflect the sentiments of the members, I will send a letter to the Chief Justice and other judges in which the members of the assembly will be interpreted.
Earlier, PML-N Member of National Assembly and Federal Minister Burgis Tahir said that we have the authority to call anyone in the Privileges Committee, we do not want judges to be called in the Privileges Committee. Laghari was also called.
He said that our Standing Committee on Finance had recommended that funds should not be given, when the House has passed the resolution and the law, whoever does not obey the resolution or the law can be called in contempt of Parliament.
Burgess Tahir demanded that the Speaker of the National Assembly should write a letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and inform him of the situation or the Chief Justice should tell us that he is blowing up the legislation and we should go home. He said that only this House has the authority to pass the resolution and the law, this three-member bench has insulted both the court and the parliament, they will not refrain from sacrificing our lives for this parliament.
On the speech of Burgess Tahir, the Speaker National Assembly asked the House for its opinion regarding writing a letter to the Chief Justice and other judges, on which the members gave their opinion by banging the desk and then Raja Pervez Ashraf announced to write the letter.
