Karachi: The body of a woman who was allegedly strangled to death has been found in the flat of a residential apartment on Miller Kent Road.
The police arrested the husband on the charge of murdering the woman and registered a case of murder against him. The arrested accused had a second marriage with the deceased woman.
According to the details, a dead body of a woman has been found in Flat No. D 402 on the 4th floor of Lania Arcade, a residential apartment within the limits of Malir Cantt Police Station, who was allegedly strangled to death. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and after taking the body into custody, shifted it to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem.
The woman was identified as 45-year-old Ambar Zawa Syed Waseem Abbas. The deceased woman was an employee of a private bank.
Police officials say that it is suspected that the arrested accused killed his wife by strangulation. The first wife of the accused Waseem resides in Islamabad with whom the arrested accused also has a son and the water tanker of the arrested accused Waseem also runs.
Malir Cantt Police has registered the murder case No. 23/212 under section 302 against the arrested husband Waseem Abbas in the complaint of brother Fahad Alauddin.
According to the text of the case, brother Fahad had invited his sister Amber and brother-in-law Waseem Abbas for dinner on the third day of Eid and had been calling his sister continuously since 7 pm but the sister was not picking up the phone. Fahad called his brother-in-law Waseem Abbas and said I am going home now and we are coming ready.
According to the text, a phone call was received around 10:20 a.m. that Amber was lying unconscious. When we reached home, we found her sister’s dead body on the bed and Waseem called the police.
The plaintiff has claimed that brother-in-law Waseem Abbas has strangled my sister Ambar, so legal action should be taken.
