The teams of Pakistan and Palestine have qualified for the finals of the ongoing West Asia Baseball Championship in Islamabad.
In the semi-finals on Tuesday, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka while Palestine defeated Bangladesh.
In the first semi-final, Palestine faced the Bangladesh team in which Palestine won by 14 runs against 3.
Tariq Al Badr, Ilyas Atiya, Younis Halim, Ibrahim, Malik Abdullah and Dylan Renard of the winning team scored two runs each.
In the second semi-final, Pakistan outclassed Sri Lanka by 16 runs to 1.
Pakistan’s Wasim Akram hit a home run and scored three runs. Faqir Hussain, Arsalan Jamshed and Mohammad Younis also scored 3 runs each. Sri Lanka’s only run was scored by Krishna.
The finale of the event will be held on Wednesday afternoon, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Ehsan Mazari will be the chief guest of the finale.
