Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said that the procedure for cheap petrol package has been finalized, which will be announced soon.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, Maryam Aurangzeb said that Benazir ensured the distribution of free flour by using data from the Income Support Program (BISP).
He said that subsidy of 74 billion rupees will be given, free flour will be distributed soon in Balochistan and Sindh on the pattern of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Federal Minister of Information further said that 42 lakh free flour bags have been distributed so far, 72 thousand flour bags were distributed in 1 day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 20 thousand flour bags were distributed in Islamabad.
He said that transparency is being ensured in the distribution of free flour, they are trying to serve the public despite economic problems.
Maryam Aurangzeb also said that Nawaz Sharif did not allow the price of flour and sugar to increase for 5 years, the national treasury was full which was looted.
He said that shortage of sugar was created, first export and then import.
