Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also became a doctor and was awarded an honorary PhD degree by NED University of Engineering and Technology.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori conferred the honorary degree of Ph.D.
Murad Ali Shah was awarded this degree in recognition of his services to the province. NED University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi was also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister of Sindh, who received the honorary degree of PhD, said that this day is important and special for me, I do not want to be addressed as doctor, I have tried. To use my ability to serve the province and the country.
He also shared his memories of his student days and said that I spent 5 and a half years in NED and completed my degree.
Speaking on this occasion, Chancellor of Government Universities and Governor of Sindh Kamran Tesuri said that when the Vice Chancellor brought to me the proposal of awarding PhD certificate to Murad Ali Shah, it was difficult for me to make this decision. Asked for time and consulted many people including other vice chancellors.
Governor Sindh said that Murad Ali Shah played the best role in Covid-19. Kamran Tesuri said that we have been divided into sects and nationalities, now people do not talk about Pakistan, they talk about nationality. This training has to be done by our teachers.
