China Allocates Additional 100 Million Yuan to Guangxi in Response to Typhoon

Due to the impact of Typhoon Maysak, the 10th typhoon of the year, several areas in China’s Guangxi Province have been hit by heavy rainfall and severe flooding.

In accordance with the country’s National Emergency Plan for Natural Disaster Relief and based on the disaster assessment in Guangxi, China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has allocated an additional 100 million yuan from the central budget on July 6. This comes on top of the 100 million yuan already approved earlier as emergency funding.

The additional funds will be used to support emergency relief operations in the affected areas of Guangxi and help restore the lives of local residents to normal as quickly as possible.
