In the last 15 days, the second incident of firing took place in the Greater Campus of Peshawar, in which a hostel supervisor was killed by a security guard. Earlier, the security guard of Islamia College Peshawar had opened fire and killed lecturer Bashir Ahmed.
According to the campus police, security supervisor of Peshawar University, Saqlain Bangash, was shot by the security guard of the hostel, after which he was shifted to the hospital in a critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. After the incident, the security guard Escaped from the scene.
According to DSP Campus Fazal Rabi Khan, Supervisor Saqleen Bangash was checking the security arrangements in Peshawar University as usual, when the security guard of the private security company on duty at the international hostel Masood opened the gate and the pistol fell and fired. As a result, the supervisor was injured.
According to the spokesperson of Khyber Teaching Hospital, Saqleen Bangash died in the hospital. According to the hospital spokesperson, the supervisor was shot in the rib.
This is the second incident of shooting death of a security guard in the university campus in the last 15 days.
On February 19, the watchman in Islamia College Peshawar opened fire and killed Bashir Ahmad, a lecturer of the college.
