In India, the school administration allegedly refused to allow the student to sit the exam due to non-payment of fees, as a result of which the student committed suicide.
According to Indian media reports, the school administration in the city of Bareilly in the state of UP refused to allow a 14-year-old ninth grade student to sit in the exam for non-payment of fees, and the student ended her life because of this.
The girl’s father, Ashok Kumar, stated in the FIR that the daughter was a ninth standard student in a local private school and was unable to collect the school fees due to some financial problems.
Ashok Kumar said that ‘some time was sought from the school administration to deposit the fee, but the daughter was not allowed to take the exam.
The student’s father said that the daughter was depressed for not giving the exam, she came home and committed suicide by hanging.
Police say that the investigation of the incident is going on based on the complaint filed by the family.
