Sources said that in the meeting of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in Islamabad on April 3, proposals were made to buy new vehicles and to hand over an abandoned Waqf Property Board’s house in Zaman Park Lahore to the Parbandhak Committee, which was rejected by the chairman of the board. However, in spite of this, huge amount of money has been withdrawn from the bank account to buy new vehicles.
The amount of offerings made by devotees and pilgrims to Sikh holy places and Gurdwaras across Pakistan is deposited in the account of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Regarding the purchase of these vehicles, several members of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee are also unaware as to when the approval to purchase the vehicles was given by whom.
