Peshawar: The High Court ordered the removal of the names of 2 members of the National Assembly from the ECL.
A two-member bench of Peshawar High Court comprising Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Syed Arshad Ali heard the petitions filed against the inclusion of the names of National Assembly Member Junaid Akbar and Mujahid Ali Khan in ECL and PNIL.
The court ordered to remove the names of Member National Assembly Junaid Akbar and Mujahid Ali Khan from ECL and PNIL list.
The lawyer told the court during the hearing that the names of the petitioners have been included in the exit control list and PNIL. The petitioners have now been elected members of the National Assembly and their names should be removed from the list.
FIA Director Legal Abdul Rahman told the court that his names were included in the ECL and PNIL on the request of the provincial government.
Later, the court disposed of the petitions by ordering the removal of the names of Junaid Akbar and Majad Ali Khan from ECL and PNIL.
