Lahore: On the occasion of Pakistan Day on March 23, a solemn ceremony of the changing of the guards was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal.
Special forces of Pakistan Air Force took over the duties at Mazar-e-Iqbal. On this occasion, salute was offered at Mazar Iqbal. Air Marshal Tariq Mehmood attended the changing of the guards ceremony as a special guest. He also inspected the guard of honour.
The chief guest recorded his comments in the guest book. He laid floral wreath at Mazar-e-Iqbal and prayed for the integrity, prosperity and development of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.
Later, 54 units of Pakistan Air Force took over security duties at Mazar-i-Iqbal in place of Sutlej Rangers.
