Elections for the vacant seats of the Senate in Pakhtunkhwa will be held on April 2

Peshawar: Elections for 11 vacant Senate seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held on April 2.

According to Election Commission officials, elections will be held on 7 general, 2 technocrat and 2 women vacant seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this regard, more than 89 candidates have received papers from the Provincial Election Commission to participate in the Senate elections.

67 candidates for 7 general seats and 14 for 2 women seats while 8 candidates for 2 technocrat seats received nomination papers from the Provincial Election Commission.

In connection with the Senate elections, 9 candidates including Faisal Javed, Azam Swati, Talha Mehmood, Dilawar Mohmand have submitted their nomination papers. 143 members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will cast their votes on April 2.
