KPO attack;  CCTV footages of terrorists' routes have been obtained

The scope of the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office has been widened, while more details of the vehicle used by the attacker have also been revealed.

The investigating authorities have also found mobile phones near the dead bodies of the terrorists, but it cannot be immediately determined whether the mobile phones belong to the terrorists or were dropped by someone during the attack in KPO. Forensics of the mobile phones is being conducted after which anything can be said conclusively.

Police sources say that the process of geo-fencing around the KPO is going on and during this time around 100 mobile phone numbers have been identified as suspicious at the time of the attack.

Investigating authorities are collecting data and other necessary information of all the numbers while sources also said that some mobile phone numbers numbering 8 to 10 which have been switched off since the KPO attack and from these numbers outside the city. Call data has also been recovered and further investigation is being carried out in this regard.

The investigating authorities have started efforts to trace the route of the attackers who came to KPO in a car.

Sources say that from which location the terrorists started to attack and by which route they reached their target, CCTV footages regarding all these routes are being obtained and some have also been obtained.

Investigation agencies say that the car used in terrorism was sold to 8 people at the Karachi Police Office, while the owner of the showroom from which the car was sold has been summoned by the investigating authorities, who has now gone to Punjab. . The vehicle, which is registered in the name of a person named Kamran, has been released on personal bail by the police after investigation.
