Lahore: The nomination papers submitted by PTI leader Hamad Azhar from the National Assembly seat were rejected while the nomination papers from the Provincial Assembly seat were accepted.
Appellate Tribunal judge Justice Tariq Nadeem pronounced the verdict in the case. The court dismissed Hamad Azhar’s appeal from NA 129 while upholding the decision of the Returning Officer.
The Appellate Tribunal judge rejected the nomination papers of Hamad Azhar and his father Mian Azhar from pp 171.
The Returning Officer had rejected the nomination papers of Hamad Azhar and Mian Azhar, but the Appellate Tribunal declared Hamad Azhar and Mian Azhar eligible for election.
Similarly, the Appellate Tribunal of the Lahore High Court dismissed Sanam Javed’s appeals against the rejection of papers from Constituency NA 119 and 120.
It should be noted that Sanam Javed had submitted papers from NA 119 and 120 while declaring to contest election from jail. He had also announced to contest the election against Maryam Nawaz.
