Test cricketer Asad Shafiq has announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket.

The middle-order batsman was also presented with a guard of honor by his teammates at the end of the national T20.

While holding a press conference after the match, he said that there was no pressure to retire, Misbah-ul-Haq was the best captain.

The right-handed batsman said that the Pakistan Cricket Board has offered to join the selection committee, feeling lucky to represent Pakistan in all three formats.

Asad Shafiq represented Pakistan in all three formats, playing 77 Tests, 60 ODIs and 10 T20Is.
