Afghan authorities closed the Torkham crossing after putting up a welcome board to Pakistan

Khyber: The Torkham crossing was closed by the Afghan authorities after putting up a welcome board to Pakistan.

Afghan authorities have objected to the installation of a signboard welcoming Pakistan at the Torkham border crossing. On which the Afghan security authorities closed the Torkham border crossing for all traffic in protest.

According to official sources, officials were installing signboards at Torkham Zero Point, which Afghan forces prohibited.

Due to the tension, foot traffic including import, export, transit has been suspended.
