Islamabad: Former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi approached the Supreme Court in view of the dangers of physical remand.
An appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Sessions Judge and the High Court on physical remand by former Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi.
It has been argued in the application that the Judicial Magistrate discharged the Punjab Anti-Corruption Department from the case, the Magistrate rejected the request for physical remand, the Sessions Judge and the Lahore High Court gave the decision for physical remand in the appeal.
Pervaiz Elahi said in the petition that giving physical remand is against fundamental rights. Due to physical remand, there is physical and mental violence and life is in danger. The Supreme Court is requested to annul the decision of physical remand.
