Price Control Committee takes tandoor owners into confidence without fixing rates, Association:Photo:File
Quetta: Anjuman Tajran Balochistan and Tandoor Association announced to keep tandoor closed for an indefinite period due to 200% increase in gas price.
In a statement issued by Tandoor Association, it is said that the price of gas has increased by 200%, the price of LPG and electricity has also increased. The price of 200 grams of bread has been fixed at Rs 30, while the price of single bread is Rs 40 and that of double bread is Rs 80.
The statement added that around 300 ovens have been closed in Quetta since November 1. In the meeting of the price control committee, self-imposed rates were set without taking the confidence of the tandoor owners and the representatives of Anjuman Traders. Anjuman Tajran Balochistan and Tandoor Association have announced to close Tandoor for an indefinite period.
