The 4-month-old son of Pakistani-born Australian cricketer Fawad Ahmed passed away.
Fawad Ahmed had a second child in July this year, but he was suffering from health problems from the beginning.
He was treated in a Melbourne hospital where he collapsed and died on 23 October.
Fawad announced the news of his son’s death on the micro-blogging website X (formerly Twitter).
Sharing a picture of his son, Fawad Ahmed wrote that my son lost this painful and difficult battle of life.
“I’m sure you’re in a better place son, we’ll always miss you,” he wrote.
Fawad Ahmed appealed to the fans for prayers in this difficult time.
