Washington: After the Israeli aggression on Palestine, the US plan to normalize the relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel has been put in cold storage.

In this regard, two key officials in Riyadh confirmed that Saudi foreign policy priorities are being revised rapidly after the escalation of the war between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas.

After the latest conflict in the region, the new atmosphere of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran has been smoothed. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made the first phone call to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi as Riyadh tries to stem an escalation in violence across the region.

Both sources told Reuters that US-backed talks on normalization with Israel would be delayed.

Saudi analyst Aziz Al-Ghashian said that “the process of normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel was under criticism before, but this has only made the issue more complicated.”
