7 people died in a fire in a residential building in India

Mumbai: Seven people were killed and more than 40 injured in a residential building fire in India’s western state of Maharashtra.

According to foreign news agencies, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, a fire broke out in a 7-storey building in Gorgaon, a suburb of Mumbai at around 3 pm.

BMC said that out of 51 injured, 7 people lost their lives in the fire, and 4 are in critical condition while around 35 people are still undergoing treatment in hospitals.

According to officials, the fire was brought under control at 7 am local time. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote on X that we are in touch with BMC and Mumbai Police authorities and all assistance is being provided.
