Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed says that digital banking is the need of the hour, 5 banks have made great progress in digital retailing.
Governor State Bank in Karachi Jameel Ahmed while addressing the event said that digitization will provide convenience to the citizens, banks should further improve their policies to provide convenience to the customers.
They say that while allowing 5 digital banks to function in principle, we have reviewed the applications of digital banks in detail.
Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed has said that he congratulates these 5 banks for completing the first phase, hoping that these 5 digital banks will meet the regulatory requirements.
He further said that while digital banking will increase financial inclusion, cyber security and protection of customer data is the first challenge for digital banks.
Governor State Bank Jameel Ahmed also says that increasing literacy will be the second challenge for digital banks, gaining the trust of customers will be the third major challenge, testing customers will be the fourth major challenge.
