Pakistan get off to a winning start, defeating Japan 1-26

In the Hockey Five Asia Cup, Pakistan started the tournament victoriously by scoring more than 2 dozen goals against Japan in the first match.

In Salalah, Oman, Pakistan outclassed Japan by 1-26 in the first match.

Pakistan’s Rana Waheed scored 8, Arshad Liaquat scored 5 while Muhammad Abdullah and Zakaria scored three goals each.

Abdul Wahab, Murtaza and Rehman scored two goals each while Ehtisham Aslam scored one goal.

In the match, Pakistan scored 8 goals in the first half and 18 goals in the second half.

Japan’s only goal was scored by Tani Nautaka in the 23rd minute of the game.

Pakistan will play the second match in the event tomorrow against Bangladesh.
