Earthquake tremors were felt in most districts of the province including Peshawar.
According to the Seismological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.2 with a depth of 184 km underground. The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Earthquake tremors were felt in Chitral, Dir Lower, Dir Bala, Bajaur, Batkhela and other areas.
In Der Lower, the earthquake caused a stampede in educational institutions and students fell on each other while citizens chanted for forgiveness.
